Explain email preferences

Email preference links let clients control some provider outreach directly from an email link.

What clients can change

Clients can turn off provider offers from the public email preferences page. When the email came from a campaign, they may also see an option to stop messages from that campaign only.

Appointment reminders and rebooking reminders stay on in this version. Spark shows them as locked so clients understand those messages are still considered important service communications.

What happens when offers are turned off

Turning off offers disables Spark automated offer outreach for that provider. The business can still follow up manually when needed.

If the opt-out creates provider follow-up work, it can appear in Today as a manual handoff item. Those items are not Spark-authored outbound drafts.

What happens with campaign-only opt-outs

When a campaign-only option is available, clients can stop messages from that campaign without changing future provider offer preferences.

Use this explanation when a client wants to stop one specific campaign but still receive other provider outreach.

Preference pages require a signed email link. If the token is missing, invalid, or expired, Spark asks the client to use the latest link from the email.

Do not ask a client to edit the URL manually. Send a fresh email or have support help with the preference state.
