Conversations
Conversations is where you handle client email and SMS work inside Spark.
Use Conversations when you need to
- Turn on conversations for the first time.
- Reply to an email thread.
- Start a new email or SMS thread.
- Triage unread messages.
- Filter by status, channel, sender, or campaign.
- Clean up spam or blocked senders.
Common tasks
Turn on conversations
- Open Conversations.
- Choose the mailbox name you want to use if Spark asks for one.
- Check availability.
- Enable conversations once the address looks right.
You can also manage mailbox, forwarding, SMS, and sender rules from Settings > Messaging.
Reply or start a new thread
- Open Conversations.
- Select a thread, or create a new thread.
- Choose email or SMS for a new thread.
- Enter the message details and send.
- Link the thread to the right client record if it is not already connected.
Keep the inbox clean
- Search or filter to find the threads that need action.
- Use unread, status, channel, sender, and campaign filters when the list is busy.
- Mark spam or block senders when you do not want those messages in the main workflow.
- Close or reopen threads as work moves forward.
