Conversations

Conversations is where you handle client email and SMS work inside Spark.

Use Conversations when you need to

  • Turn on conversations for the first time.
  • Reply to an email thread.
  • Start a new email or SMS thread.
  • Triage unread messages.
  • Filter by status, channel, sender, or campaign.
  • Clean up spam or blocked senders.

Common tasks

Turn on conversations

  1. Open Conversations.
  2. Choose the mailbox name you want to use if Spark asks for one.
  3. Check availability.
  4. Enable conversations once the address looks right.

You can also manage mailbox, forwarding, SMS, and sender rules from Settings > Messaging.

Reply or start a new thread

  1. Open Conversations.
  2. Select a thread, or create a new thread.
  3. Choose email or SMS for a new thread.
  4. Enter the message details and send.
  5. Link the thread to the right client record if it is not already connected.

Keep the inbox clean

  1. Search or filter to find the threads that need action.
  2. Use unread, status, channel, sender, and campaign filters when the list is busy.
  3. Mark spam or block senders when you do not want those messages in the main workflow.
  4. Close or reopen threads as work moves forward.
